A Letter from the Author
Hi there,
I’m Indi, and I’m so grateful that you’ve found your way here.
Writing has always been a huge part of my life, but not in the way you might think. I’ve always loved fiction—books that are easy to read and aren't difficult to understand. If something doesn’t hold my genuine interest, I get bored quickly, and I know how fast others can feel the same.
That’s why I write the way I do: simple, engaging, and straight to the point.
Over the past five years, personal development has become the greatest passion of my life. It’s the one thing that’s carried me through everything. For me, personal and relationship development is endlessly fascinating. It’s one of those rare things I can never get bored of.
When I write, I’m not just creating a book—I’m going on an adventure. Writing is an internal exploration for me, a way to dive into my greatest interests and see what I can uncover. I don’t write to follow trends or because it’s what’s in demand right now. I write because I’m genuinely curious, and I want to explore these ideas deeply. My books are simply a map of my findings from my journey.
My process is a little unconventional. Everything is written on my iPad with my Apple Pencil and ergonomic keyboard. I like to constantly shift my position while writing. I don’t agree with the idea that authors should force themselves to write every day, so I don't. If it’s not flowing, I won’t force it. Writing should feel like an adventure, not a chore.
I start my process by mind mapping on the Concepts app— it's my favourite app, and has completely unlocked my creativity with the unlimited canvas and other features.
I didn't know this when I began, but the truth is that the book really does write itself. Originally I started by outlining the whole book at once but it didn't work out for me because my direction kept changing. That's when I realised that this really is an internal exploration for me, not simply writing down all of my thought. There, now I outline one chapter at a time, write it, then move on to the next.
When you read my work, I want you to feel understood. I want you to feel like someone gets it. But I’m also not afraid to call you out on your shit when you need it. I’m not here to waste anyone’s time. I only write what I believe in, and I focus on being original and giving you information that’s actually helpful.
My mission is simple: I want to create a happier world.
It saddens me to see how much people are struggling internally. Exploring life’s greatest challenges—like fear—is my way of helping to change that. I hope my books empower you to change the way you’ve been living your life and inspire you to explore your own inner world too.
Some random facts about me: I don't have a hot drink while I’m writing because I always forget about it, and it goes cold. I can't write in public places, it's too distracting and my favourite snack is honey peanuts. Also, I learned how to touch type in an old job, and I had no idea how useful it would be for my authorship career!
Finally, I don’t want you to see me as an expert. I don’t want you to blindly trust or respect everything I say. When I create a book, I’m sharing my findings from my own internal exploration. My hope is that it inspires you to start asking your own questions and to go on your own journey. It’s okay if you don’t agree with everything I say. I'm not writing for you to agree with absolutely everything - that’s the beauty of exploration.
Thank you for being here, for reading, and for joining me on this journey. I hope my books inspire your own internal adventure, like they have for me.
Wishing you well,
Indi
